As we turn the calendar to April, the energy at Black Bull is reaching a new peak. With the Driving Range opening exactly one week from today and our Easter weekend traditions just days away, the transition into the heart of the spring season is officially underway. From finalizing your digital membership profile to prepping your game for the fairways, this week is all about ensuring you are ready for the busy months ahead.


We lead this week’s update with a final reminder to register for your Digital Membership Card within the Black Bull App. This tool is essential for a seamless experience at the Club this season; once you have generated your card, please email Paul at paul@blackbullbozeman.com to complete the validation process. On the golf side, Head Professional Jake Hagedorn has provided an essential Guide to Golf Course Etiquette to ensure our grounds remain in championship condition, alongside an update on our New April Shop Hours and a special Tee Gift Reminder for our Member-Member participants.


At the clubhouse, the countdown to Easter is on. Join us this Thursday, April 2nd, for Live Music with the Tessy Lou Duo, and for those attending tonight’s Spring Floral Workshop, we look forward to seeing your creativity in action at Bar 72. Reservations for our Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Sunday Brunch Buffet has limited availability - if you haven't secured your spot yet, please do so immediately to join us for these cherished family traditions.

New Feature: Digital Membership Cards Now Available


As we move into the 2026 season, we are excited to introduce a new membership validation tool within the Black Bull App. This feature will streamline your experience at the Club, from checking in for rounds to verifying your member status at Bar 72.


How to Register: To get started, simply open the Black Bull App and click on the avatar icon in the top right corner of the screen. Once you enter your membership information, the app will generate your unique digital membership card.


Once you have successfully registered and generated your digital card, please send a brief confirmation email to paul@blackbullbozeman.com to complete the validation process.


Why Download the App? Beyond this new validation tool, the app is becoming your central hub for all things Black Bull. We are also excited to announce that your Weekly Newsletter will soon be available directly within the app, making it easier than ever to stay updated on the go.

Golf Update


Driving Range Update


We’re excited to announce that the driving range will officially open for the season on April 7th!


The range will open 30 minutes before the first available tee time each day, giving you plenty of time to warm up before your round.


Please note our maintenance schedule:


Clean picks will take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday

On these days, the range will close at 6:00 PM

On all other days, the range will remain open until 7:00 PM


We look forward to seeing you out there!


Tee Gift Reminder for Member/Member Participants


If you are participating in this year’s Member/Member and haven’t yet ordered your tee gift from Jones Sports, there’s still time!


To place your order, simply visit the Black Bull App and navigate to “The Roundup” within the Members portal. You’ll find the link there with everything you need to complete your selection.

Spring Operations: Updated Golf Shop Hours


As we move into April and prepare for the official opening of the season, please take note of our updated operating hours. Effective immediately, the Golf Shop will close at 6:00 PM daily.


The Black Bull Guide to Golf Course Etiquette


Welcome to the 2026 Golf Season! To ensure an enjoyable experience for the entire membership, Head Golf Professional Jake Hagedorn would like to share a few essential reminders regarding course care and pace of play.


Preserving the Course


Our fairways and greens are meticulously maintained, and we rely on our players to help keep them in peak condition.


The Essentials: Please remember to fix your divots, repair ball marks on the greens, and rake sand traps after your shot.


Prohibited Items: We kindly ask that you have NO SUNFLOWER SEEDS on the course, as the shells damage the turf and greens.


Pace of Play & Group Size


Maintaining a steady flow on the course is critical for everyone’s enjoyment. To avoid bottlenecks:


Ready Golf: Please be ready to play your shot when it is your turn and keep up with the group in front of you.


5-Somes: Due to high seasonal volume, 5-somes are no longer permitted without explicit Golf Shop approval.


Mastering these fundamentals respects the traditions of the game and your fellow members. If you have any questions, please reach out to the Golf Shop team.

Live Music This Week: The Tessy Lou Duo

Join us on Thursday for an evening of live music at Bar 72. We are excited to welcome the Tessy Lou Duo for a night of soulful melodies and great company. This is a complimentary event for members and their guests. We recommend securing a table via OpenTable if you plan on dining with us during the performance.


Countdown to the Easter Egg Hunt


Saturday, April 4th | Arrival: 10:30 AM | Hunt Starts: 11:00 AM sharp


The Easter Bunny is officially on his way! Join us for pastries, mimosas, and our signature family egg hunt.


Dining Hours: Bar 72 will open at 12:00 PM with a limited lunch menu, transitioning to our full dinner service at 4:00 PM.


Reservations are highly recommended for post-hunt lunch.

Celebrate Easter with an extraordinary culinary experience at Bar 72.
