On The Fairways: Player Care & Pace of Play Briefing

As we enjoy peak summer conditions across our 19 holes, maintaining the championship standards of our course and ensuring an enjoyable experience for every group on the turf relies on our collective effort. Please take a brief moment to review these essential mid-June reminders before your next tee time:

Bunkers & Pitch Marks:

To keep our greens and hazards "up to par," please remember to repair your pitch marks on the greens and properly rake sand bunkers after play. Leaving a smooth surface ensures fair, consistent playing conditions for the groups directly behind you.

The 3-Minute Rule & Fescue Pace of Play:

With our signature fescue now fully grown out, finding errant shots can become a time-consuming challenge. To keep the pace of play moving smoothly for everyone, please remember that the maximum legal search time for a lost ball is 3 minutes. If you suspect your ball may be difficult to find, we kindly ask that you hit a provisional ball from the tee box to prevent delays.

Practice Ball Etiquette:

A quick reminder that all range and practice balls are meant exclusively for our dedicated practice facilities. Please do not take practice balls out onto the live golf course for regular play.

Golf Shop Check-In:

To ensure seamless operations and accurate member accounts, all players must check in with the Golf Shop prior to teeing off. Please let the team member at the desk know whether you are playing 9 or 18 holes, and confirm if you have any accompanied guests so we can ensure correct account billing from the start.

Summer Junior Golf Camp: June 23rd–25th

Registration is now open for our upcoming Black Bull Junior Golf Camp, running from Tuesday, June 23rd through Thursday, June 25th. Designed to be both highly instructional and incredibly fun, camp sessions will run daily from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, focusing on fundamentals, sportsmanship, and on-course play. Spots are limited to ensure quality coaching ratios.

Looking for the perfect way to enjoy a day by the pool with family and friends? Our pool cabanas are available for reservation throughout the summer season!

Capacity

Each cabana comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests. For larger gatherings, both cabanas may be reserved to provide additional space.

Fitness/Pool Center Notice to Black Bull Golf Club Members

Dear Members,

To ensure members have the best possible experience without overcrowding this summer, Black Bull will implement a new security system at the Fitness & Pool Center in the coming weeks, including a gated entrance with key fob access.

Each primary membership will receive two (2) key fobs for entry. For security purposes, fobs are strictly for member use only and may not be shared with non-members. Any misuse, including sharing fobs, may result in suspension or termination of membership privileges. The gate will be scheduled to be operational from 5 am-11 pm daily. The fitness/pool area will be closed from 11:01 pm to 4:59 am.

If you forget to bring a key fob and temporary fob will be issued at the golf shop.

In addition to fob access, members will be asked to present their membership card via the Black Bull app to pool attendants upon entry.

Guest Policy:

Members may bring up to two (2) guests per visit.
Guest fee: $25 per guest.
All members and guests must check in with pool attendants upon arrival.
Guest fees, as well as any food and beverage charges, will be billed to the hosting member’s account.
Guests must be accompanied by a member at all times and are not permitted to access the facility independently.

Members wishing to host larger gatherings may do so by reserving a cabana. This option helps us maintain a comfortable and enjoyable environment for all. For cabana reservations or additional information, please contact events@blackbullbozeman.com.

New Feature: Digital Membership Cards Now Available

As we move into the 2026 season, we are excited to introduce a new membership validation tool within the Black Bull App. This feature will streamline your experience at the Club, from checking in for rounds to verifying your member status at Bar 72.

How to Register: To get started, simply open the Black Bull App and click on the avatar icon in the top right corner of the screen. Once you enter your membership information, the app will generate your unique digital membership card.

Once you have successfully registered and generated your digital card, please send a brief confirmation email to paul@blackbullbozeman.com to complete the validation process.
