BLACK BULL RECEIVES FINAL PLAT AND WATER APPROVAL
Black Bull of Bozeman, Montana is pleased to announce that they have received Final Plat approval for their unique Montana Golf Community development. Black Bull, set on the former Leachman Cattle Ranch in close proximity to Bozeman, features a magnificent modified-links style 18-hole championship course designed by former PGA Tour professional and world renowned course architect Tom Weiskopf.
By unanimous Gallatin County Commissioners’ vote, Black Bull met all conditions for Final Plat approval. Concurrent with this approval, the development also received all necessary water rights permits for the project from the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC). Black Bull can now convey ownership in the development’s highly desirable Lots and Club Homes.
The Tom Weiskopf 18-hole signature championship golf course is moving well toward completion. The course is designed to provide a “core” golf experience, a rarity in today’s residential courses, by strategically positioning the home lots and fairways to maintain outstanding, open golf views.
On the golf course, all holes will be fully sodded and seeded by this fall with the course open for member play in early summer ’08. The club’s magnificent multiple practice facilities will be open for members this fall. The main practice facility will be second to none with multiple target greens, four USGA spec putting/chipping greens, fairway and greenside bunker options, and uphill/downhill lie opportunities.
The golf course in keeping with Weiskopf’s designs is considered to be highly “playable”, and will offer challenge and variety, yet “fairness”, to all levels of play, from beginner to professional. Its design doesn’t favor one style of play over another. Further, the course is designed for walking, with short distances between greens and tee boxes. In short, it’s the perfect members’ course.
Black Bull’s social clubhouse will be completed in August. This clubhouse will be available to all property owners as the Swim and Tennis Center and will also serve as the golf course’s temporary clubhouse while the Golf Clubhouse is under construction. Golf Club membership is open by invitation to both property and non-property owners.
