Intermountain Opera

The Intermountain Opera Association is celebrating 30 years of producing Grand Opera in Bozeman. In 1978, the Intermountain Opera staged its inaugural performance of Verdi's La Traviata, and has since earned a national reputation for first-class productions. The Intermountain Opera Association has produced one opera every spring, and starting in 2005, a second opera was added.

As the Intermountain Opera continues to grow, the association is becoming highly regarded; attracting opera goers from all over Montana and the western United States. The operas take place at the auditorium in Willson School, and include New York stage directors, producers, and artists, while a Bozeman orchestra, along with many local singers, musicians and volunteers reflect the company's commitment to bringing fine opera to Montana.
